Vera Knútsdóttir has been the Director of the United Nations Association in Iceland since 2016. Vera spearheads the UNA‘s promotional work for the Sustainable Development Goals and has given numerous talks on the subject. Before joining the UNA Vera worked for Unicef in Somalia and UNRWA in Lebanon.

Vera holds a M.A. in Security Studies from Georgetown University (2011) and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Iceland (2009)
