Birta Kristin has an MSc. Degree in energy- and environmental engineering, with emphasis on renewable energy from the University of Iceland and DTU. During and after her master studies she interned at Landsvirkjun, the National Power Company, where here projects were merely wind energy related. For the past 5 years, she has worked as a consultant in the field of renewable energy, at EFLA consulting engineers. Her main projects have revolved around wind energy, i.e. preliminary design, siting, project management, strategic planning, environmental issues, etc. She is also a board member at Women in Energy – Iceland.
