Jóhanna is the Director of Construction, Planning and Environment in Mosfellsbær Municipality in Iceland since 2006. She is also a Board Member of Samorka, the federation of energy and utility companies in Iceland. Jóhanna holds an M.Sc. in Civil and Environmental Engineering and MBA in Business Administration.
